Training and Workshops

LHBT Workshop

Since we were set up in 1992 we have run numerous training sessions and workshops, many of which have been grant funded and open to all. If you would be interested in us running a training session for you, or providing a workshop on any aspect of how to restore and reuse a historic building, please get in touch to discuss your requirements.

We are excited to announce that bookings for next FREE training series are now OPEN! ‘Visioning & Viability: Establishing a Heritage Project’ is aimed at groups and charities at the start of their heritage project journey.

This three-part training series will be held on 17 May (2-5pm), 25 May (2-5pm) and 8 June (9am-Noon). We would encourage attendees to book for all three, but it is possible to attend only one or two sessions.

Hear from the Architectural Heritage Fund, Purcell Architects, Brixton Windmill, LHBT’s new chair – Georgina Nayler – and more!

Forming part of our National Lottery Heritage Fund Resilient Heritage Projects a series of workshops were delivered over Spring 2019.

These workshops were designed to support volunteer led groups working to save and re-use heritage buildings, by sharing knowledge and providing guidance on the abundance of work required at the very early stages of a project, often before a new use has even been identified. More information on the workshops, and the associated presentations, can be found on the Resilient Heritage project page.
