London Historic Buildings Trust appoints Interim Director

Celia Mead has been appointed as our first Interim Director, thanks to a grant from the Pilgrim Trust.  Celia’s job will be to ensure London Historic Buildings Trust (LHBT) achieves its next step towards the organisation becoming more sustainable.  She will implement the strategic plan, develop the organisation and provide essential support to achieve its mission to re-use historic buildings for community benefit.

Celia’s background includes running a consultancy advising and leading on income generation in the charity, heritage and tourism sectors.  She has undertaken three previous interim directorships leading organisations through change, written many business plans and funding applications and implemented marketing and fundraising campaigns. She has served as a trustee on other preservation trusts, heritage bodies and cultural organisations.

“This is a wonderful opportunity to move a well-respected organisation forward, at an exciting moment of change.  The strong track record in project delivery means that people are interested to hear about LHBT’s plans for the future as we develop it to the next stage.  I look forward to hearing from anyone interested in getting involved”, said Celia.
